The Archive of Theraic Studies – Dimitris Tsitouras, in collaboration with the Benaki Museum, presents the new book titled “Santorini Through the Lens of Dimitris Harisiadis (1911–1993)”.
The bilingual edition (Greek–English) is the eighth volume of the Archive and includes rare photographic material of particular historical significance, documenting Chancellor Konrad Adenauer’s visit to Santorini in 1954, ten years after the end of World War II.
Adenauer was accompanied by prominent figures of the era, including Spyros Markezinis, Professor Spyridon Marinatos, and journalist and author Spyros Melas, who published three chronicles in the newspaper Estia — republished in the book.
